Essential Oils: Oregano Oil

oregano

I really like to review essential oils as a lot of people are getting into the market and a number of them have proven effective for many uses. So when I got the opportunity to get UpNature’s Oregano Oil for free to review, I jumped on it.

This is an EXTREMELY strong essential oil. I liken this to tea tree or eucalyptus. This is only to be used topically, you need to have food grade in order to take this internally and this is not. I steamed with it and had to wait a few minutes before I could actually steam because it was too strong. I also tested this on my skin and YIKES, you must use a carrier oil with this. The bottle is huge and you likely won’t run out of this anytime soon.

They email you a pdf file with all of the uses of oregano oil and some recipes. But like a lot of other things, you need to do your research on if this is right for you and even consulting with health care professionals. Their information package contained a lot of information and claims, but no links to verify and some typos. This is why people frown on alternative healing modalities, lots of claims and no back up. Additionally there were recipes in this that were for internal use which you can’t use this product for.

This is a strong smelling oil. I used one of the cleaning recipes with vinegar and it does clean but with a very strong scent. Would I buy this again, yes. I think if the claims are valid about it’s anti-bacterial properties, it makes a great alternative for natural cleaners and for use in aromatherapy. It’s a generous portion so you won’t run out anytime soon.

#GIVEAWAY ends December 31st! And check out my review: Tumeric #BioSchwartz

As many of you know I’ve been dealing with an injury and subsequent pain.

I am on the healing path and doing physical therapy and completely off any over the counter or prescription pain medication because of this: Turmeric.

Now if I would have read this in August/September, I would have scoffed at the whole notion. Back then, I was in so much pain that I needed to get a prescription strength pain reliever. And after taking it for 3 weeks, having stomach issues, I started, reluctantly, to take a Turmeric supplement. And after about 5 days it worked. SO well, no more medication.  Since then I did have a procedure and have had a lot of pain, but the prescription pain meds were about 2 days and I’ve been mostly taking Turmeric since.

tumericSo that leads me to this product. Made by Schwartz Bioresearch this is a high concentrate of Turmeric (1500mg) and it’s daily dosage is 3 capsules with a meal. While I don’t like having to take pills what I noticed is that once there’s a buildup of this in my system, I almost have no pain. Which is really unusual, considering that I’m having my arm and shoulder physically manipulated on a regular basis. AND IT’S PAINFUL. But it really does work. While I don’t want to take 3 pills a day, if I can eat it with a meal, I’m ok to take it. And no stomach upset. This company sent me this for free in exchange for this review. Glad I did it!

This company is also having a contest which ENDS ON DECEMBER 31st! Check out these amazing items they’re giving away and click here to enter.

Got it for Free Review #SwissVita #Eyecream

So here’s the scoop with SwissVita. I like their products. I think it’s smart packaging, aluminum versus plastic, but aluminum can be unforgiving, but it’s recyclable. The eye gel is really lightweight and a little goes a long way. I made a video review before I actually looked at my before and after pictures and yes, the dark circles are a little lighter. Will I keep using the product, absolutely. Will I buy the product, probably not because they do not have a cruelty free label. Which is a shame.  #eyelift #eyecream #eyegel #Swissvita #wrinkles #darkcircles #eyefirmingcream #eyefirming #eye #lift #skincare
